PyVotons! is a free software project to help people explore voting methods beyond what is considered standard in the french political system.
The pyvotons.org website is also used as a publication medium for texts on political and social subjects, and technical notes related (or not) to the development of the software.
The first main goal is to have an easy-to-use, open-source voting system that can be used by associations, political parties and others. A long-term goal is to create a set of tools to help collective decision-making : proposals, arguments, selection of proposals by a rating system (volunteers), vote on selected proposals (everyone).
PyVotons is currently developed by Manik Bhattacharjee; any help is welcome (software development, design and drawings, translations…).
